Israeli Navy Corvettes SA'AR 6 SAAR6%20Picture%2006-2020_edited SAAR6%20Picture%2006-2020_edited 1/1 Astronautics Company, which serves as the Israeli Naval Systems Home of Israel, won the tender for the development and supply of the Navigation Data Distribution System for Saar 6, the newest naval surface ships. Astronautics' systems will be installed on the new ships upon arrival in Israel. The system is characterized by the inclusion of all navigation data and distribution to all the ship's operational users such as weapon systems, at large rates, a variety of communication channels and very high accuracy. By using advanced data fusion algorithms the system provides the best navigation data for the various units in the ship. The company recently provided the first system to the naval laboratories. it will soon be integrated with the other ship systems. The new system developed by Astronautics has advanced capabilities and combines technologies and algorithms that will make a significant contribution to performing missions under the challenges of navigation warfare in the present and future era.

Meet the Management General Manager Saar Paz Saar Paz joined Astronautics IL in 2017 as a Senior Program Director and later as VP of Engineering. In 2018 he was appointed as the General Manager. He brings over 20 years of experience in the aerospace market’s multidisciplinary technology development, engineering, and program management. Before his role at Astronautics, he held several key management positions at Elbit Systems and RSL. Saar holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion (Israel’s Institute of Technology). He served as an Israeli Navy SEAL officer. ​ ​ ​ ​ VP of Marketing Nir Itzhaky Nir Itzhaky joined Astronautics IL in August 2007, serving two periods as the VP for Business Development and Programs. Between the two periods, Nir served for four years as the CEO of Isorad Ltd. Nir worked for ten years in the IAI Aviation division as a Deputy Director for Avionics and as a Business Unit Manager in upgrade programs for military aircraft and helicopters. In his military background, Nir served as a Fighter Pilot in the Israeli Airforce for 28 years (Lt. Col.) Eran brings over 25 years of experience in multidisciplinary technology development, system engineering, program management, and operation in the aerospace and industrial markets. Eran has a B.Tech in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Ariel University and an M.Sc in Management of Technology specializing in System Engineering from HIT (Holon Institute of Technology). Eran also is a PMP® certified by the Program Management Institute. VP of Human Resources Lihi Tamari Lihi Tamari joined Astronautics IL in 2015 as a Human Recourses Manager and since 2017, as a VP of Human Resources. Lihi is a seasoned human resources executive with over a decade of leading HR strategies in organizations, developing and managing HR infrastructure in various sized hi-tech and retail companies. Lihi holds a BA Specializing in Financing & Information Systems from the College of Management and an MBA from Derby University in Israel. VP of Finance Meir Donnenfeld Meir Donnenfeld joined Astronautics in 1991, serving as the Company’s Controller and later as the VP of Finance.
