Globus

The Israeli Ministry of Defense awarded Astronautics a contract to provide the "Globus II" tactical navigation and C4I system to the Israeli Air Force (IAF) for its' transport fleet of aircraft. This contract is a follow-on contract to the Globus I contract awarded to Astronautics in 2010 for the C-130H fleet.

Globus is an airborne network system supporting effective crew operation for situational awareness, data/video presentation, net-centric operation and other advanced onboard mission/information systems. The system combines the capabilities of a digital map, mission data presentation, situational awareness overlays (threats, allied forces, flight plan etc.) & onboard sensors data/video on integrated and synchronized mission displays for the pilots and other crew members.

The program covers production, support and training for the network of computers and digital displays that are  installed on platforms such as C-130J, Beechcraft Super King Air C12, Boeing 707 and Gulfstream G550. The complete contract executed in its' entirety at Astronautics' Petach Tikva facilities.
